Aria – Allilon x Davines: The Present Time

Aria is all about ease, movement, and transition—a collection that feels soft, effortless, and totally wearable. The idea started with the wet-to-dry look: something that changes and evolves as you wear it, just like we do. It’s not about one fixed state—it’s about flow.

The colour work in Aria reflects that same feeling. In collaboration with Davines and inspired by The Present Time palette, we’ve played with tones that shift with the light and the texture of the hair—soft, sheer colours that feel almost like fabric or water. Think cool mineral shades, misty greys, pearly violets, and delicate ash tones that come to life differently when the hair is wet, then settle into something deeper and more grounded as it dries.

This collection also gave us the chance to collaborate creatively in a really exciting way. Working closely with Davines’ Creative Director Tom Connell, who photographed Aria, brought a whole new layer to the project. His eye and approach helped shape how the collection feels visually—honest, stripped-back, and quietly powerful. There’s a shared sensibility between us around beauty that’s real, subtle and expressive without being too loud. 

We wanted the colour and the imagery to feel natural but elevated—like it belongs to the wearer. Nothing too forced. It’s lived-in, refined, and has that slightly undone beauty that’s very now. Aria isn’t about making a big statement; it’s about creating space for personal expression through soft, evolving colour that moves with you.
