What is the student teacher ratio?
Most of our courses, with the exception of the "Get Inspired" taster course, run with a strict ratio of eight students to one teacher. Our extremely low student teacher ratio means that you receive personalised feedback and guidance specific to you and your needs, enabling you to achieve your best and gain the very most from your time with us.
Where is the Allilon academy?
Our Academy is located in the heart of London on the 4th floor of stunning central London hair salon (and sister company) – Ena. The address is 5 Great Queen Street, London WC2B 5DG (click for map). The nearest London Underground stations are Holborn (3 minute walk) & Covent Garden (6 minute walk).
How should I travel to the academy?
It is advised to travel by tube to the academy. It is a short walk from either Covent Garden (Picadilly Line) or Holborn station (Central Line / Picadilly Line).

What time should I arrive?
We advise arrived 10 – 15 minutes before the course begins just to get set up and make sure you're ready to learn.
Are there hotels nearby?
There are a wide range of hotels within walking distance that will suit any budget, a quick google search of the area will give you some options.
Where can I get lunch?
There are plenty of local sandwich shops & restaurants around the academy where you can grab lunch, with options for all diets, budgets and tastes. Please ask your educator on the day and they will be more than happy to help you with personal suggestions.
Can I take and share photos and video?
Yes! We welcome you to take as many photos and/or videos as you like. Please feel free to share your experiences with friends on social media.
What do I need to bring with me?
Before your course begins we will send you a list of the specific equipment required, however as a guide these are the general lists:
For cutting courses you would need to bring:
Scissors, a cutting comb, sectioning clips, a hairdryer with a nozzle, a diffuser, straightening irons, a vess brush, a paddle brush, awater spray, a neck brush.
For the colour courses:
Pin tail comb, Tinting comb, waterspray, vess brush & paddle brush
For combined cutting and colour courses:
Scissors, cutting comb, cutting comb, pin tail comb, tinting comb, vess brush, paddle brush, neck brush, hairdryer, straightening irons, diffuser, water spray & sectioning clips
Are mannequins provided?
Yes, mannequins are provided and covered in the price of the course. We use Allilon real hair mannequins on all our academy courses. After the course is finished you are welcome to take the mannequin home with you.
