Course Schedule

Day 1: Reinforcing the Allilon language & method

We focus on reinforcing the understanding of When, Why and How of hair cutting through the Allilon language and method.

You will experience a live demonstration of the exact look you’ll recreate in the afternoon workshop—a beautifully crafted long, layered haircut designed specifically for curly hair, beginning at the front.

9.30am – Introduction
Intro to the teacher, fellow students and our online education platform Allilon+. Brief outline of the course.

9.45am - Demonstration

Day 2: Introduction to advanced methods

Morning: Hands-on work on a long, layered haircut with fringe and disconnection, focusing on length choice, strategic disconnection and precision cutting for a clean, modern finish on straight hair.

Afternoon: Cut a medium-length curly shape with disconnection, learning how to work with curl patterns, place disconnection for impact and refine precision techniques for textured, contemporary results.

Day 3: Thinking outside the box & advanced techniques

Morning: Focus on a modern French Bob, using precision cutting and advanced techniques to challenge traditional bob structures and encourage intentional, design-led decision-making.

Afternoon: Explore a short curly haircut with intentional disconnection, learning to analyse curl behaviour and work with natural texture to create modern, wearable results.

Our academy is a beautiful creative space located in Holborn/Covent Garden in central London. The space is on the 4th floor of a listed Georgian Townhouse and boasts great light, original features and high ceilings.

What is the student teacher ratio?

Most of our courses, with the exception of the "Get Inspired" taster course, run with a strict ratio of eight students to one teacher. Our extremely low student teacher ratio means that you receive personalised feedback and guidance specific to you and your needs, enabling you to achieve your best and gain the very most from your time with us.

What tools do I need to bring with me?

For cutting courses you would need to bring: scissors, a cutting comb, sectioning clips, a hairdryer with a nozzle, a diffuser, straightening irons, a vess brush, a paddle brush, water spray, a neck brush

For the colour courses: a pin tail comb, a tinting comb, waterspray, avess brush & a paddle brush

For cutting and colour courses: scissors, cutting comb, cutting comb, pin tail comb, tinting comb, vess brush, paddle brush, neck brush, hairdryer, straightening irons, diffuser, water spray & sectioning clips

Where is the academy?

Our Academy is located in the heart of the West-End on the 4th floor of stunning central London hair salon (and sister compnay) – Ena. The address is 5 Great Queen Street, London WC2B 5DG map. The nearest London Underground stations are Holborn (3 minute walk) & Covent Garden (6 minute walk).

Who will be the teacher on the course?

One of our highly experienced educators will be teaching you. As our educators frequently travel for international courses, shows, and seminars, we do not assign a fixed educator to each course. Your instructor will be confirmed close to the course date.

Are mannequins provided?

Yes, mannequins are provided and covered in the price of the course. We use Allilon real hair mannequins on all our academy courses.
